Dr. Cochran is an esteemed board-certified family medicine practitioner and founder of Evangelion Medical. He graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from the Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Cochran completed his residency in family medicine at the Texas Tech Health Science Center, and he is currently studying for his master’s degree in Christian ministry and theology at Abilene Christian University. Dr. Cochran always knew he wanted to be a doctor, and, as his career blossomed, he made certain his practice focused on preventive care. Dr. Cochran wants his patients to feel better than ever. He hopes all his patients know that they are capable of achieving great things. In his free time, Dr. Cochran enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He has coached over 40 seasons of youth soccer. He is a drummer for his church’s praise band and has run the New York Marathon three times. He enjoys basketball, soccer, billiards, Ford Mustangs, and all things Star Wars.

Kara Cochran was Valedictorian of her high school class and upon graduation attended Texas Tech University. There she pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Management and graduating Summa Cum Laude. While in college, Kara worked in a medical clinic and rapidly worked her way up to Chief Financial Officer at the age of 20 and then advanced to the Medical Practice Manager upon graduating from college. A few years later, Kara furthered her experience in the healthcare industry as she went to work for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, Kara returned back into the healthcare management sector to work alongside her husband, Dr. Cochran. Her efforts have been instrumental in advancing Evangelion Medical. As the Practice Manager, Kara spends her days solving problems, interacting with patients, doing all things financial, and investing in the lives of her staff. Kara prides herself on being a faithful mother who is also successful in the business world. Kara enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling the world.

Callie McKimmey is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of healthcare experience. For the last three years she has specialized in women’s health and hormone management, and she is excited to be back alongside Dr. Cochran to offer these services while also returning to her roots providing care in family medicine and disease prevention. She feels strongly about combining conventional and progressive approaches to care and going above and beyond to help her patients optimize their quality of life. As Callie’s patient, you will always feel important, heard, and validated. Callie is an Austin native but proudly calls Midland home. Outside of work, she stays busy with her husband and two kids and enjoys cooking, exercising, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. 
Callie received her master’s degree in 2018 from the University of Texas at Arlington and is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. 

Kristin Groves has been a registered nurse for 20 years. She has practiced in many areas of nursing from Neonatal Intensive Care to Home Health and Marketing. Her favorite area has been Family Medicine. She has taken a keen interest in learning from Dr. Cochran since she began working with Evangelion in 2018. Kristin recently earned her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner studies and is now a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kristin is married and says she is blessed with a happy and large family of 6 children. She loves to support her children in their extracurricular activities such as dance and soccer. When not working, she enjoys traveling around simple Texas towns and anywhere near a beach.

Angie Becerra joined the Evangelion Medical team in 2018.  She has played many roles and played a vital role in the day-to-day operations.  Angie moved to Midland from New Mexico over sixteen years ago and continued her work in the medical field.  She is the mom of two awesome adults but prides herself on being a “damma” to her two grandchildren.  When Angie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and crafting. Angie's choice of the medical field was not just a career decision but a calling. She wanted to be able to make a difference in each of her patient’s lives, and her dedication to this cause is truly inspiring.

Chrystal Johnson, a dedicated member of Evangelion Medical since 2021.  She is a certified medical assistant with thirteen years of experience and a certified pharmacy tech for one year. Before joining Evangelion, she honed her skills in nursing homes, demonstrating her commitment to patient care.  Chrystal has been happily married for seven years and is a proud parent of two children, two bonus children, and two fur babies.  In her leisure time, she enjoys coloring, doing puzzles, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Her passion for the medical field stems from her desire to provide the best quality care possible. 

Stephanie Reyes joined the Evangelion Medical team in June 2024.  She has been a registered nurse for ten years.  She worked as Doctor Cochran’s nurse for three years before working in family medicine and inpatient rehabilitation.  Stephanie is married to the love of her life and has four children.  She recently welcomed her first granddaughter into the world.  In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.  She especially loves traveling to the beach.  Stephanie loves working in the medical field because she desires to provide compassionate care to her patients and help them feel their best. 

Danielle Smith joined the Evangelion Medical team in July 2024.  She graduated from Midland College with her LVN in 2016.  She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in psychiatry, internal medicine, pediatrics, home health, and cardiology.  Danielle is married to her high school sweetheart and they have three fur babies.  In her free time, Danielle enjoys reading, photography, music, and Texas Ranger baseball, but above all, she enjoys spending time with family. Danielle's personal connection to the medical field stems from her childhood experiences. As a child, she was sick frequently and spent a significant amount of time at the doctor’s office.  The nurses at the doctor’s office became like family to her, and she was inspired to offer that same level of comfort to her patients.

Cami Davis, a certified medical assistant, joined the Evangelion team in February 2024.  She is the warm and welcoming face at our check-in window, blessing our patients with her caring nature. Her professional journey includes 8 years of service in neurology in Midland and Katy. Cami is a proud mother of 3 and a grandmother to one, who is the “sunshine” in her life.  When she isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, crafting, watching movies, and listening to audiobooks. Cami's deep passion for caring for people and bringing joy to everyone she encounters aligns perfectly with our team's values.

Jenna Manning, a certified medical assistant since 2009, has accumulated a wealth of experience.  She has served as an office manager for 5 years and as a certified medical assistant in family medicine, gastroenterology, physical therapy, and urgent care. Jenna, a proud fiancé and mother of 3, enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies of reading, traveling, dancing, and singing. Her greatest joy comes from helping her patients achieve their health goals. Notably, Jenna is the weight loss coordinator at Evangelion, a role in which she is dedicated to providing each patient with her best care.

Andrea Valencia, a certified pharmacy technician and certified medical assistant, is a valuable addition to our front office staff at Evangelion Medical. Her experience in the fields of psychology and substance abuse is a testament to her dedication. Andrea is a loving wife and mother of two sons, who keep her on her toes. When she's not at work or with her family, she finds solace in her hobbies of gardening, baking, and hiking. Andrea's unwavering commitment to making a difference every day is truly inspiring.

Lisa Cano, a certified medical assistant since 2019, joined the Evangelion Medical team in July 2024. She brings with her a wealth of experience in audiology and nephrology. Her dedication to her family is unwavering, with her three boys and her father being the center of her life.  She is supported by a loving and loyal partner who shares her journey.  In her free time, she enjoys activities that keep her physically and mentally fit, such as going to the gym, running, lifting weights, cleaning, and baking. Lisa's choice of the medical field stems from her joy in knowing that she can contribute to someone's well-being, even if it’s just with a few words and a smile. 

Lyn Vargas, a certified medical assistant, is a valued member of the Evangelion Medical team since July 2024. Her journey in the medical field began at the young age of 16, and she now brings her rich experience in internal medicine and women’s health to her role. Lyn's dedication to her family and her faith is unwavering, and she cherishes her pets, including dogs, cats, and rabbits.  In her leisure time, she finds joy in building with Legos, playing tennis, and skateboarding. Her curiosity about the human body drove Lyn's decision to enter the medical field, but she soon realized that it's more than just that; it's about the rewarding opportunity to help others. 

Mitchell is Evangelion's mental and behavioral health consultant. He also helps Kara out as an administrative assistant. He has a master's degree in pastoral counseling and is currently working on his doctorate in theology. He carries credentials in Christian counseling and family life education. He is passionate about integrating physical, mental, and spiritual health.
